Rafael (2.5m), Blind (14m), Rojo (17m) and Shaw (27m) doesn't seem that bad to me, with Herrera and Mata in front.
Our back four cost under 5m combined.
Blind and Rojo have both played centre back in internationals and the champions league.

We had no centre backs for a period last season .... don't recall it being such a big story.
As said they have more than enough players in their costly squad to make do.
Im disappointed the likes of Evans, Smalling, Jones etc ARENT playing

That's true
Man U are trying to say there isn't the quality of centre back around to buy but they've known Vidic was leaving for most of last season.

Blind and Rojo are very accomplished players and can easily slot in at CB. As someone else said it's a shit that Evans, Smalling and Jones are injured.
What we have to do is play around / or physically take out the protection in front of the defense. Once you do that it's pot shot time.
I am having a fiver on Rooney getting sent off as he will come deep and start getting stuck in as he is now the captain and we all know he is a petulant, aggressive little chav so he will go. Hopefully.
The potential for us to beat them is as big as it has ever been. And to say that when they have the attacking force they have is remarkable. Just got to get into the defence and hope they crumble.

I think Sam is right to be concerned they will bounce back and wipe the floor with us.
Man U have very capable players but a result relies on them playing well on the day. They are not as bad as people are making out but can be got at.
I'd love to see us nick a goal and make them nervous as I think mistakes will be made in a makeshift back line but they have quality players in front and we may not see much of the ball or create much.
No doubt WHO will got into meltdown again if we are battered.
